This month's featured donor is the San Diego Legal Secretaries Association. On March 18th, SDFRA President Dan Faddis met with Jan Sones, SDLSA President and Norma Swan, Parliamentarian, at Station 1, "The Big House." Jan and Norma presented Dan with a $1500 check for the Benevolent Fund, which renders assistance to firefighters and their families through sickness, distress, and death.
SDLSA is a non-profit professional organization comprised of legal secretaries, legal support staff, attorneys, and court employees. The objective of SDLSA is to serve the legal community by furthering the education of its members and to foster cooperation with attorneys, judges, and bar associations in order to stimulate a high order of professional standards and ethics in law offices.

SDLSA also works to raise money for local charitable organizations and selected San Diego Fireman's Relief Association as their latest recipient. Norma Swan coordinated a photo-op at Station 1 where she and Jan Sones met with SDFRA's own Mike Kirkeby (Executive Director), Dan Faddis (President), and Jerry Burkey (Director of Marketing and Development.)
"It's so gratifying to know that we have the support of other local organizations," said Dan Faddis after receiving the check.
"This has been a tough year for firefighters and we wouldn't be able to assist them without the generosity of groups like SDLSA."
