The Relief Association has been taking care of firefighters since 1907. More than 100 years later, we continue to care for our own, but it's a bigger job than ever before.

How you can help

1. Make a Donation

The Benevolent Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is supported by your tax-deductible gift. You can make a donation in honor of a friend or coworker, or in memory of a fallen firefighter who has answered the last alarm.

2. Support our sponsors

San Diego Fireman's Relief Association is supported by local and national businesses and professionals. These "Community Firefighters" support you and your family by giving to the Benevolent Fund. Purchase their goods and services as often as possible, and let them know that you appreciate their support.

Need a plumber, a lawyer, or a massage therapist? Use our our supporters! Each supporter is identified by their level of support, from the Paramedic's Club to the Founding Firefighter's Club.

3. Participate in the Ralph's Community Giving Program

Ralph's grocery stores has a terrific program which supports worthy causes like your Relief Association. When you sign-up for a Ralph's card and designate the Relief Association as your charity, we will receive a percentage of your purchases as a donation to The Benevolent Fund.

Please sign-up for this program! It only works when many people participate, and it costs you nothing. You have to go to the store- why not go to Ralph's and raise money for your firefighter family at the same time?

4. Make a gift from your estate.

We've been here for you- you can be here for us by making a gift from your estate. Planned giving like this is what secures the future of churches, universities, and many other charitable organizations- you can leave a legacy of care and protection give back to your firefighter family. Your bequest will help us care for future generations of firefighters that will not receive the same level of protection and care many of us enjoyed.
